We had the chance to visit Southeast of saline High school recently, and it was one of those days that reminds you why the trades matter. We brought the truck out, walked the students through what we do, and had a real conversation about welding as a career - not just as a class.

We covered a lot of ground. welding school options, different welding processes, what mobile welding work actually looks like day to day. These are the things nobody really talks about until you're already in it. We figured if we could give these students a head start, that's worth an afternoon out of the shop.

The mobile welding truck got a lot of attention. That's usually how it goes - once people see the setup, the questions start flowing. It's a good way to show students that welding isn't just a shop job. It goes wherever the work is, whether that's a farm, a jobsite, or somewhere in between.

We're big believers that the trades need more people who are passionate about the work. welding is a skill with real earning potential and a clear career path. Getting in front of students who might be considering it - that's something we're happy to do. The industry is better when the next generation comes in ready and informed.

A huge thank you to Southeast of saline High school for having us out. The students asked great questions and were genuinely engaged. That kind of enthusiasm is exactly what the trades need more of.
